US Military Invites Azkals to Balikatan Football Clinic for Kids

National team players Roel Gener, Nestorio Margarse and Eduard Sacapano of Philippine Army Fritz and Macziol FC  joined US Military in holding a football clinic for kids at Daza Park, Camp Aguinaldo yesterday morning, April 20, 2012.

Azkals taught basic rules of the game and simple football drills before playing with the kids. The clinic is part of the US military’s community relations activities in connection with the Balikatan exercise.

“This year we hope to give a boost to football in the Philippines by introducing children to our mini-football camp.” said Commander Andrew Wade of US Marine Corps (Pacific)

 Strength and conditioning coach Josef Malinay also went to the event.
